Today our service is led by Rev Michael Barnes.
We read and think about the parable of two sons.
One said “No”, and then did his father’s will, the other said “Yes”, and then changed his mind
The listener is given a choice: which did his father’s will?
What does this parable mean to you?
Which response would the father prefer? The son who said, ‘No’ but then went and
worked in his father’s vineyard, or the son who said ‘Yes’ but didn’t follow through.
Can you think of reasons why the opposite might be true?
For peace in Israel/Palestine
For those in the tertiary sector battling with loss of funding and jobs
For people caring for family members during the pandemic
The next time you hear yourself about to make a point or deliver an opinion, pause… and ask yourself, ‘What if I approached this differently?’
